04/06/10
The prestigious James Irvine Foundation has awarded the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra an $18,500 matching grant to help support the commissioning of three new symphonic jazz works by composers Charles Floyd, George Duke and Lee Ritenour. The new works will be premiered in concerts starting in Sept. 2010. We are most honored to have been selected by the Irvine Foundation for this highly competitive grant.
