With a background in public relations, Susan D. Gordon's career evolved into fundraising when she moved from New York City to Los Angeles and became the special events manager for the Los Angeles Opera, managing over 50 fundraising events annually.  Since then she has worked with many midsize to small nonprofit organizations, from consulting projects ranging from public relations campaigns to special events management.  Susan then spent four years as the Associate Development Director at Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services.  With a love of the arts, Susan is thrilled to be working with the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra and their commitment to the next generation of music afficionados and bringing together the worlds of Jazz and Classical music.  Susan is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and received her M.A. in Media Studies at the New School for Social Research.
